October is well underway. Marking the end of what may well be the best month in Chile. September is the time where young and old join together, wave flags, drink and eat copious amounts, and party like it’s New Year’s Eve. So as we in Chile welcome October and the coming summer months, we also say goodbye to…. terremotos (amazing, yet potent Chilean drink), the cueca (the national dance of Chile), never ending meat, horses in the city, crowds of people waving flags, everything cowboy-isk, more meat, horses dancing with women, ponchos, hats, and a string of public holidays. Living overseas I write these posts occasionally to keep a record of our adventure, and to update friends and family. I have been on a writing hiatus recently, but we're happily living in Spain now and adapting to life with two little people in tow.
